Exhibition Review - Mark Wallinger:'ID' Hauser & Wirth, London till 7th May 2016.

Image of Hauser & Wirth, London with art exhibition review by Drenched Co.

Wallinger places his hands to tend to the spectre of solipsism. - Drenched Co.

Comment: "At Wallinger's ID, the artist places himself in his works, evolving his 'I' to another level. Wallinger is in contemplation of self and wills us to participate. And perhaps in the midst of this contemplation, there is this idea of the human hand and its complicity in the evolution of our brains and culture and our contemporary digitally determined identities e.g.  'I touch, therefore I leave traces', leaving my mark wherever I go. (See Frank Wilson's The Hand). Fabulous." - FaSa

Exhibition Review - Joanna Kirk, Blain|Southern London till Oct 3rd 2015.

Image of BlaineSouthern London with Exhibition review by DrenchedCo

Kirk smudges out the Mitwelt
as it fades back
just beyond my view,
and cloaks the landscape
in a colorless candor
in a monochrome rainbow
in cobalt blue. - Drenched Co

Comment: "The more one absorbs these paintings the more one looses one's self to them, in them. The crinkly dry details in them are breathtaking. " - Raj

Keys: See Mitwelt, of an unfolding self-world.

Exhibition Review - Evren Tekinoktay :'Ulalume' The Approach, London till Oct 4th 2015.

Image of The Approach London with exhibition review by DrenchedCo

Tekinotay's erstwhile mice
have chewed their way
into an alternate history of
femininity. - Drenched Co

Comment: "A curious depiction of womanhood that is fresh, enjoyable albeit sparse. I especially enjoyed 'Bambi', an alternate breathing, moving neon-lit 'mousetrap'. " - JayZee

Keys: See Evren Tekinoktay's  Sept2008 exhibition 'A slightly pregnant man' at The Approach London  .

Exhibition Review - MICHAEL BAUER:'Butter Bebop (Transatlantic Creme Dreams)' Alison Jacques Gallery, London till Oct 7th 2015.

Image of Alison Jacques Gallery, London with Exhibition Review by Drenchedco

With Bauer,
 I am in absolute
 obstinate silence. - Drenched Co

Comment: "The large paintings looked like they were fun to paint. Identifying shapes and making up connections was on the other hand, hard work. " - JayZee

Keys: The chatter of signs, busy-ness of appearance, the search for connections.

Exhibition Review - Grear Patterson, Jonathan Small, Freddy Tuppen:'Island Theory' Jonathan Viner Gallery, London till Oct 3rd 2015.

Image of Jonathan Viner Gallery, London with exhibition review by Drenched Co

As I dip my toes
in the ebb and flow around Grear's island,
I languish in the
swill of adolescence, in and around,
back and forth and round and round. - Drenched Co

Comment: "I walked in and I saw the beach in everything from the tarps and kite to the changing room tiles, mirrors and towels." - JayZee

of his shadow. - Drenched Co

Mr. Cheung aka The One has the
